Is That A New Computer?!

We’re happy to announce we have a new and much more powerful Mac Pro in the Online Suite. This suite is now recommended for render-intensive work.

The new Mac Pro doesn’t have additional internal drives for temporary storage, though, so users will have to store their media on external drives. The new Mac Pro has USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt ports – we can also sign out Thunderbolt -> Firewire 800 adapters for editing sessions for users that have Firewire drives.

We will soon have a few 1TB 7200 rpm external drives available for rental.
