The CFAT/Eyelevel/Khyber/CKDU Holiday Party!

We’ll be turning CFAT’s facility at 2238 Maitland St into a weird/festive/scary cave of wonders! The night will feature themed snacks, cocktails and Propeller beer, the DJ’ing talents of Camilla Salcedo and CKDU and a Satan/Santa photo booth by Hannah Guinan and James McSwain.

This free event is open to all and will include loads of opportunities to support your friendly neighbourhood artist-run centres and pick up some gifts while you’re at it. Let us revel in our fear of the holidays!

December 8th – Doors @ 7PM, costumes will be celebrated

ACCESS NOTES:
CFAT is entirely ground level and accessible by wheelchair. There is no button to press on the entrance door for it to open automatically, however volunteer greeters will be stationed at the door for duration of the event to offer assistance. The washroom is a centrally located single room with 1 toilet and is for all genders. Active listeners will be stationed onsite throughout the event. There will be light snacks and water available for free at the bar, as well as beer and cocktails for sale, cash only!

The Khyber, CFAT, CKDU and Eyelevel want to remind all that participating in public events is a privilege. Care for yourself and others. A licensed bar will be open and we do not allow outside liquor, drugs or drug use in the space. We ask that if you choose to consume alcoholic beverages that you do so in a responsible manner. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave the space, for discrimination or violent acts, which include but are not limited to: racism, white supremacy, sexism, heterosexism, cissexism/transmisogyny, tokenism, ableism, ageism, sizeism, sexualized and all acts of violence and harassment.

If at anytime you are made to feel unsafe or require assistance, please let an employee or volunteer know at the event in person or through the on-call Khyber staff number (text/call us at 902.817.6620). Any concern brought to our attention will be taken seriously and addressed immediately.
